John Smeaton
The
father of civil engineering John Smeaton, he born in the year 1724 June 8th
at England. And started his carrier as civil engineer, He was honored as Copley
Medal on 1759. His invention is a milestone of civil engineering. He invented
the composition needed for hydraulicty in lime that tends to Portland cement.
He designed the third Eddystone Lighthouse it was the first light house built
over open sea it remained in use for more than 110 years after that the foundation
get erode, it was partially rebuilt at Plymouth Hoe then its named as Smeaton’s
